Greek architecture widely utilized the acanthus leaf on columns, friezes, dentils and other decorated areas. This Mediterranean plant has an extensive history of medical and medicinal uses and has come to symbolize immortality, longevity and healing. Rich dimensional detail and quality are evident throughout this original work of art that is sure to be a treasured heirloom for years to come. Made in New England by highly skilled silversmiths, this beautiful ornament would be a lovely addition to any Christmas tree or could be worn as an exquisite pendant.
