In 1764 the King of France Louis XV granted the bishop of Metz to create a glass making establishment in Baccarat, which soon became the most prestigious crystal manufacturer worldwide. Passed down over the centuries, the vocation of Baccarat is to innovate in the fields of techniques and creation, focusing on constantly training its elite craftsmen; glassblowers, cutters and engravers whose talent today expresses itself with the same exacting standards of quality.
